Walk_Cycle Process!

So I spent most of the weekend working on this personality walk cycle. I have to say that its come far from the struggles at the beginning. Their were some funny things going on with her back but I was able to straighten it out.

This is the re done key frames from Thursday, this was before I started working on fixing the back twisting motion.

The rough finished the sharp twisting motion was still their and her head followed it. More details were added onto her as well.

This is the finished clean up the twisting motion with the back is gone and it looks a lot better now. I also added more secondary motion to the hair and with a slight bouncing of  her back arms.

The final version its colored and I fixed some small things here and there. The arm on the right moves now and she doesn't jolt back and much when she leans back. I have to say that I'm actually happy with this at the moment some more fixes met be done in the future depending on. What is said in class on Thursday anyway until then I will be updating again on Thursday! See you then!

Personality Walk Cycle!

So our latest work in animation two is where we have to do a character walk cycle with personality. I worked on designing this spider like lady, its currently only with key frames. But I plan on having the rough finished and cleaned up by Tuesday!

More of the body will be included and it will be more freshed out. I'm also currently working on a rig for computer animation one, which is about half way though involving this sink and soup bars. They will be skating, we had to do an animatic first which is below.

Animatic for the soups and the shots planned out for the rig.

Finished sink before beginning the rigging process.

Current progress with the rig, I'm about half way there though I still have a bit of a ways to go. That's it for now! Another update will come soon!

Music Video!

We had to make a music video for video 1 as our third project. We were told to put it online so I thought that I would share it here! Below are some screen caps from the video and a link to watch it on YouTube. I enjoyed working on this a bit since its one of my favorite songs done by the Beatles  I'am The Walrus is the song that I picked I hope you enjoy it too!

Rigging Dance! And Effects!

For animation two today we had to rig a character of ours I did one of my new ones. He doesn't have a name just yet but I thought that it would be fun to have him dance. So I started the rig and got a lot of it done today, though it goes by too quick. So I plan on going back and redoing the timing for it over the weekend. I would also like to have it fully colored.

This below is the rough of what I did in class, I've already started fixing the timing and will have a mov up of it once finished. I noticed that he's too big and his head doesn't appear in the video. I plan to fix this as well.

I also finished my effects animation which is fully colored and has a simple background. Someday I would like to go back and add some more stuff to it. If I ever get the time too.

Environment Final!

Today I worked on the final Renders for my environment for computer animation 1. The final is due tomorrow along with 3 pictures of the renders all in all I collected about five. But will only be showing 3 tomorrow, I enjoyed working on this project a lot and we get to start working on the final starting tomorrow.

I hope to start putting up some sketches within the next week. I just have to get around to scanning them. I will also be putting up a nice banner once I have finished it. Until then!

Effects Animation Progress!

We have been working on this special effects thing for animation two recently. I've been having alot of fun with it along with some trouble. In this I smoke, and water effects below I will show how it has come along from key frames to the recent clean up.

This is the finished key frames that were done on a whim.
Since I really didn't know what I wanted to do when we started it.

With the rough it got a little better but then I tried to start adding the ripples in the water.
It would take sometime before I would actually get them right though.

Moving onto the clean up I was final able to get a little more of a grasp on how to make the ripples actually work.

After working on this over the last week, I was able to finish coloring it and adding an extra thing to make it transparent. It isn't completely finished yet since we were given a little more time. I will have the ripples completely worked out and a much much better background.

I also plan on making the smoke more transparent as well and hope to add a bit more to it. This is the last update tonight but I plan on updating tomorrow or within this next week again.

Environment Update!

Things have been a little busy, these last two weeks with coming back to school. Along with finals being just around the corner I have been busily working on my environment. I was able to finish the ceiling and have already started the lighting and renders as well.

The ceiling was one of the longest things that I had to work on for this environment. But after working on it for most of spring break I got it looking exactly as it had too. Below are some photos, showing the results of the ceiling work done over that time.

This one shows some of the very first progress, when I was laying out some of the main parts. That the wooden beams would be set into.

This is a completed picture of the ceiling as a whole sadly, I wasn't able to find as many progress. Pictures as I had hoped too but that the time of working on this I didn't think I was going to get this done. Luckily that wasn't the case and I was able to find myself  a little ahead.

In this last recent week I started working on lighting and rendering. The lighting took a couple of days to figure out and I had to get some help from my teacher. About how I would get light to flow though the window. I don't have any renders of the light though the window at the moment.

But I do have some from what I was working on yesterday and today. These are from some rendering I did today while trying to get the light just right. As well as toning down the reflective surface on the walls.

This is the most sucessful render that I have had of this part of the room to date.

I would like to say that this is good where it is, but I'm going to go back and work on it a bit more in class tomorrow. The same can be said for the area below.

This is all I have currently, but I plan on taking a few screen caps tomorrow to better show my progress as this project comes to a close. It is due on the 8th and I plan on working on it quite a bit. Until then!
